Our second annual Chapel Hill Community was a tremendous weekend filled with fun,
basketball and community! We filled up Carrboro High School with 65 campers from Orange
County, who were all excited to be a part of Marcus Ginyard Basketball Camp. On Friday, the
Carrboro and Chapel Hill Fire and Rescue Departments came out in full force with fire trucks, hoses, and safety gear to provide our campers with a hands-on demonstration. We followed up on Saturday withthe Chapel Hill Police Department, Carrboro Police Department, NC State Highway Patrol, andthe Orange County Sheriff’s Office coming for another demonstration complete with K-9 unitsand police cruisers, including the one of a kind “SuperBee” from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Working with the Chapel Hill community is always inspirational and a great pleasure! We are
pleased to partner with so many individuals, groups, and businesses who are invested in the
youth of the community.
We look forward to making the Chapel Hill Community Day even bigger next year, so be sure to stay tuned to our website and social media pages to be up to-date on the newest announcements and
