Giving Back Knows No Boundaries

Since arriving in Macedonia, I have been actively searching for ways to get more involved in my new community in Skopje. Although it has only been home to me for roughly 4 months, it’s still extremely important for me to find ways to be a positive influence in my local community. Recently I was able to find an awesome opportunity give back to local children in need.

With the help of the athletic brand Sport Vision Macedonia, I had the pleasure of delivering brand new basketballs, towels and water bottles to the children of Oct 11 Orphanage. We spent a couple hours together talking about the focus and determination needed to accomplish goals. The kids shared their dreams of becoming athletes, business owners, ballet dancers, inventors and more. It was truly inspiring to be in the presence of kids with dreams so big.

My hope was to be a beacon of positive energy for the kids to feel motivated to follow their dreams with all their heart and not to be discouraged by hard times or set backs.
